本作は“2人以上の人が交互にものを置く”というシンプルなルールでインスタレーションのような空間を作る、パフォーマンス、ワークショップ形式の実践です。作品を作る行為に制限を設けることで、意図の不確かなコミュニケーションゲームとしての側面を持ちます。「もの」の日常的な役割と、プレイヤーの解釈によるその場限りの価値が入り混じり、「もの」に重層的な意味が与えられていきます。この単純なルールは、日常的な「もの」を作品化するシステムだと言えるでしょう。その時現れるのは、既存の作品という概念への問いかけであり、「ものを解釈する方法に正解はない」という状況です。私たちはこうした状況を作ることで、「誰がどのようにものの価値を決めているのか」という社会的な疑問を投げかけます。価値基準の再構築が迫られる状況を作ることで、私たちが抱えるお互いの価値観の違いや理解し合えなさを受け入れるきっかけとなることでしょう。

This work is a performance, workshop-style practice in which two or more people take turns to create an installation-like space with the simple rule of "taking turns placing objects". By placing restrictions on the act of making the work, it has the aspect of a communication game with uncertain intentions. The everyday role of the object is mixed with the ad hoc value of the player's interpretation, giving the object a multilayered meaning. This simple rule can be described as a system for turning everyday 'things' into works of art. What emerges then is a questioning of the existing concept of the artwork, a situation where 'there is no right way to interpret things'. By creating these situations, we raise the social question: 'Who decides the value of things and how? By creating situations where we are forced to reconstruct our standards of value, we will have the opportunity to accept our mutual differences in values and our inability to understand each other.
